A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve created using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
